Raising Chickens...they'll bring joy to your family too!

Who ever knew that raising chickens would be so much fun!

Every day he makes sure that the 25 or so chickens we have are well taken care of.

Brandon has learned over the years how to raise chickens.  And we have learned with him. 

We being Sarah, my wife, and myself, Brandon's Grandfather - Papawl as he calls me.

We know about the different chicken breeds from having raised over 15 or so different types of chickens

This year we just started raising bantam chickens.  Boy are they cute!

Ever since he was old enough to use the computer, which believe it or not was at about 7 or 8, he loves to look up chicken pictures.  He even knows how to save them in a file on the computer, print them out, and post them on his bedroom wall. 

Correct chicken coop construction is a must if you want to raise chickens.

Most people will learn about chicken invaders and chicken predators if they are raising chickens.  There is nothing sadder then going out to check on your little chicks only to find out they have been mauled and eaten overnite by some vicious chicken invader. 

If you buy and order chickens like we do every year, and they are not really expensive, protecting your chickens the best you can will save you from having to replace them more then once each season.

Protecting your chickens is not hard, but you must know how to do it or you will have a hard time raising your chickens.
